Maybe there is a more elegant solution but this works for me!! Is there anything that I need to do to activate the file?ĮDIT - I think I found a solution - I did a restore settings on the sat nav and next time when I went out I got camera warnings!! I discovered that a restore needs to be done every time the sat nav is switched off otherwise the speed camera warnings do not appear. I had both sat navs active on the same journeys but I got no speed camera notifications/bongs from the Honda sat nav. It also seems to appear in the "device" part of the systems menu as the "Extras/Speed Cameras" entry. I installed the same file in its POI folder and I can see it in the garmdevice.xml file. I am still having an issue with the integrated Garmin installed in my Honda CRV. gpi file installed in the POI folder - it appears to respond correctly to all of the cameras that I encountered. ![]() I have done a few journeys now with the Nuvi 1490 with only the most recent UKIreland. Maybe I will drive past a few more different speed cameras in the next few days (at or below the limit.) to see if I get notifications. The Garmin Sat Nav in the Honda CRV only has the new file in the POI folder. I will remove the old file and see if that fixes it on the Nuvi 1490. ![]()
